Title: 25 Years of Research on Hardware Security and Trust

Speaker: Professor Gang Gu, University of Maryland, United State

Biography: Gang Qu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. (honor) and M.S. degrees in mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and the M.S. (honor) and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1998 and 2000, respectively.,He then joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, where he is currently a Professor and the Director of the Maryland Embedded Systems and Hardware Security Lab (MeshSec) and the Wireless Sensor Laboratory. He is known for his work on dynamic voltage scaling for low power, VLSI design intellectual property (IP) protection and hardware security, and the sensor exposure and coverage problems in wireless sensor networks.
